Tyndale 500 commemorates the 500th anniversary of the publication of the English Bible.
On Thursday 27th August 2026 we invite you to join the churches of the Congregational Federation in a walk of 500 miles. Our section will be up to three miles (according to each walker’s ability). Every single mile walked by every single person counts. We will take in sites related to John Bunyan, who, like William Tyndale, was imprisoned and persecuted for his faith, and whose writings spread through the world, alongside the English Bible.
Online registration is welcome via [email protected], or if you prefer in person at the Bunyan Meeting Coffee Shop.
Our walk will be split into two halves as below. Please feel free to join for as much or as little as you can manage. Walks will take in sites related to John Bunyan, the local preacher, who, like William Tyndale, was imprisoned and persecuted for his faith, and whose writings spread through the world, alongside the English Bible.
